Padstow Community Care Winter Appeal 2019
One in six people will experience financial hardship this winter and many will struggle to put a meal on the table. Clare was very upset and highly anxious about her current situation. She was in desperate need and sought help. She was in need of emergency relief assistance following a family breakdown. Utility bills were piling up, she had to pay rent and the fridge and cupboards were almost empty.
The team member at Community Care offered Clare financial and budget assistance, but when they gave Clare some food vouchers and help with her electricity and water bills, she burst into tears. Clare was overwhelmed by the support and began to feel hope rising again about the future. Clare is just one of the hundreds of people in our community who are desperately trying to make ends meet in the face of growing financial and emotional hurdles.
